95th session of the IPHC set to address declining halibut abundance in the North Pacific

January 29 to February 1st, U.S. and Canadian negotiators meeting in Victoria, BC will attempt to hammer out a deal establishing the North Pacific 2019 halibut fishing season and work out what can be harvested by fishermen from Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska when unprecedented waste and environmental change rule the day.

Check out this link to the International Pacific Halibut Commission site for more information about the process and how you can attend or listen in as a stakeholder participant through a webinar.
