Alaska King Crab
Versatile and elegant, Alaska King Crab is unmatched for its sweet flavor and rich, tender texture. It lends itself to appetizers, entrees, soups and salads. Innovative preparations have broken the traditional presentation of Alaska King Crab legs with drawn butter. Chefs are now poaching it served with a roasted garlic butter, or enhancing it with ginger sauces and black beans. Try it with a variety of dipping sauces including Mexican salsa.

Alaska crab fishermen brave wild and cold winter seas of the North Pacific and Bering Sea to bring this most amazing harvest to you. It is one of the most dangerous occupations in the world. View
Karen Ducey's photographic journal at the National Geographic website, "Mining Crab In Alaska" depicting just some of the conditions crab fishermen endure.

Once harvested it is cleaned, cooked and immediately frozen to preserve its superior quality either at sea onboard the vessel or brought to a land based processing plant. Since it is cleaned and pre-cooked, it is ready to serve after thawing. Alaska King Crab is always available fresher-frozen throughout the year in a variety of product forms either whole or split legs and claws to selected portions. It is low in fat and calories, and it is a light and healthy source of high-quality protein.
